Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic religious legend reading 'Bism al-ab wa'l-ibn wa-ruh al-quds allah wahid' (In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, God is One), executed in bold Naskh script. The surrounding marginal legend includes the month name Sha'ban and the regnal year notation 'sene wahid ... sittami'a' (year six hundred and eighty), partially legible due to the irregular flan. The entire design is enclosed within a dotted or beaded inner border typical of Ilkhanid hammered silver coinage. The legends are struck with characteristic Ilkhanid calligraphic style, showing bold raised letters against a flat field.
