Reverse description A stag standing to left, head turned back to right, positioned before a palm tree whose branches extend across the upper field. A ground line runs beneath the stag's hooves, with a palm frond or floral spray rendered below. The magistrate's name ΑΡΤΕΜΙΔΩΡΟΣ is inscribed vertically in the right field in clear Greek capital letters. The stag is a sacred animal of Artemis, patron goddess of Ephesos, and is rendered with elegant, elongated proportions typical of the Hellenistic artistic tradition.
