| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bee depicted facing upward in the center of the field, with spread, slightly curved wings rendered in fine relief. The body of the bee is segmented and naturalistically modeled, a hallmark of Ephesian coinage. The design occupies the full flan, consistent with the struck style of Hellenistic civic silver coinage. The letters E and Φ flank the bee, identifying the issuing city of Ephesos. |

Ephesos operated under Seleucid and later Pergamene authority during this period, and cistophoric coinage was beginning to displace older drachm types across western Asia Minor by the mid-second century. This piece, issued under the magistrate name Badromios, belongs to a transitional window before the cistophoric standard fully consolidated Pergamene monetary influence in the region. Magistrate-signed issues from Ephesos allow modern die studies to sequence production runs with unusual precision — Badromios appears in a small cluster of names assigned to the later phase of this series.
