| Obverse description | Diademed and draped bust of Phraatakes (Phraates V) facing left, wearing a tiara adorned with a diadem; two Nikai (winged Victory figures) depicted in flight, one to the right and one to the left, each extending a wreath toward the king in the act of coronation. A palm frond is visible to the left of the bust within the field. The portraiture is rendered in the Hellenistic tradition characteristic of late Arsacid coinage, with curling locks of hair falling behind the ear. |
