Obverse description Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic inscription in Naskh script, arranged horizontally across the flan, bearing the sultan's titles and name. The legend is set within a plain inner field surrounded by a dotted border running along the coin's periphery. The hammered flan is irregular and slightly uneven, characteristic of Seljuk of Rum copper coinage. The inscription is bold and deeply struck, occupying virtually the entire obverse surface with no figurative imagery.
