| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central field displays a bold multi-line Arabic Shahada legend set within a roughly rectangular cartouche with decorative knotted border, a design feature typical of Ilkhanid and Mongol-period copper coinage struck at Caucasian mints. The inscription, reading the first part of the Islamic profession of faith ('There is no god but God, He is One, He has no partner'), is executed in a sturdy, angular naskh script. An additional partial legend or ornamental band appears above the cartouche. The flan is broad and irregular, with a notable chip at the upper edge. |
