| Obverse description | Two fish depicted in the Pisces zodiac motif, shown swimming in opposing curved directions around a central point, rendered in a bold, stylized manner characteristic of Safavid-era provincial copper coinage. The fish are arranged in a swirling composition filling the irregular flan, with one fish clearly visible in the upper portion and the second fish below, their bodies forming an interlocking arc. A dotted border runs partially along the coin's rim. The design is struck in relatively high relief with the surface showing typical wear and patination of hammered copper issues. |
