| Obverse description | Central field bears a single numeral mark denoting the unit value of one As, flanked on either side by a small dot serving as a value indicator. The design is of the utmost simplicity, reflecting the archaic Etruscan monetary tradition, with the mark rendered in low relief on the irregular hammered flan. The surface shows the characteristic roughness and uneven texture typical of early Etruscan gold coinage of the third to second century BC. |
