Reverse description A stylised Celtic horse prancing to the right occupies the central field, rendered in characteristic Icenian abstract style with a boldly curved neck, arched back, and attenuated limbs. Above and around the horse are elaborate curvilinear motifs including large pellet-tipped spirals and a beaded rope or chain design, elements descended from the charioteer and sun-wheel of the earlier Gallo-Belgic prototype. Below the horse, a series of pellets, annulets, and crescent forms fill the lower field. The entire composition is executed in the dynamic, flowing aesthetic typical of Late Iron Age Celtic coinage in East Anglia. No legend or inscription is present.
