| Obverse description | Imperial orb surmounted by a cross, set within a multi-lobed Gothic trefoil frame, all rendered in the characteristic flat relief of late medieval hammered coinage. The central device is enclosed within a beaded inner circle, with the surrounding field bearing the circular Latin legend. The design is bold and well-centred, typical of Rhenish goldgulden of the period. |
