| Beschrijving voorzijde | Bull standing left with head turned to face the viewer, rendered in high relief with muscular anatomy carefully delineated. A pilos (conical helmet) appears prominently above the bull's back at center. The civic legend ΠΑ and ΡΙ, abbreviating the ethnic ΠΑΡΙΑΝΩΝ, is divided in the field to the left and right of the pilos respectively. The composition fills the flan in a bold, archaic style characteristic of Mysian coinage of the fourth century BC. |
