| 背面描述 | Nike (Victory) standing three-quarters to the left, winged and draped in a fine chiton, her wings fully spread behind her; she holds a wreath extended in her right hand toward a large Doric capital or trophy element decorated with a row of pellets arranged in a grape-cluster pattern, possibly representing a cuirass adorned with bosses. The ethnic legend IMEPAION is inscribed in Greek letters along the lower left border within a dotted circular border, identifying the issuing city of Himera. |

Himera's bronze coinage from this decade was cut short by catastrophe. In 409 BC, a Carthaginian force under Hannibal Mago sacked the city entirely, massacring much of its population in revenge for the defeat his grandfather Hamilcar had suffered there in 480 BC. The city was never rebuilt. Any bronze struck in the years immediately preceding that destruction circulated for a remarkably brief window before the issuing authority ceased to exist.
