Reverse description Anepigraphic. The reverse of the shaft mirrors the obverse in its hand-wrought, twisted iron construction, with no distinguishable decorative or inscriptional differentiation from the obverse face. The lower terminus terminates in a small, flattened, spatulate or bifurcated foot, forming the characteristic 'leg' end of the Kissi penny. The surface retains the same dark iron patina and irregular texture resulting from traditional forging techniques. No legends, devices, or symbols are present.
