背面描述	A cross divides the reverse field into four quarters, each containing one letter of the tribal inscription VOLC, arranged so as to read around the central crossing point. The cross is boldly incised and extends to the coin's edge, creating a quartered design typical of late Gaulish obol coinage. The letters, rendered in a simple lapidary Latin script, are distributed one per quarter: O upper-left, L upper-right, V lower-left, C lower-right. The flan is slightly oval and the surfaces show typical patination consistent with ancient silver of the region.

附加信息	The Volcae Arecomici were a Gaulish tribe occupying the region around Nemausus — modern Nîmes — who maintained a degree of monetary autonomy well into the Roman provincial period. This small fractional silver was struck during decades of increasing Roman administrative pressure following the organization of Gallia Narbonensis as a province in 118 BC, a process that slowly absorbed local minting authority without immediately ending it. LT#2646 sits in a series documented by La Tour whose attribution to this specific tribe remains secure through find-site evidence concentrated around the lower Rhône valley.
