The outer border is a raised beaded circle typical of late Anglo-Saxon hammered coinage. The overall design follows the characteristic Quatrefoil-influenced layout of the CVNNETTI type, struck under Cnut's monetary reform. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse presents a central raised inner circle with a beaded border, enclosing a small cross pattée flanked by a pellet above and below, characteristic of the CVNNETTI type. Surrounding this inner medallion, arranged in the four quadrants of an implied cross, are the letters of the moneyer's name and mint signature rendered in angular Anglo-Saxon letterforms, interspersed with small cross pattée motifs and pellet groups serving as word separators. The entire design is contained within a plain outer beaded border following the flan edge. The arrangement and ornamental crosses are consistent with coins attributed to the York mint during the final phase of Cnut's reign. |
