背面描述 A heraldic eagle displayed facing right, wings spread and tail feathers fanned, depicted in bold relief within a circle of incised lines. Rosettes or small floral ornaments are distributed in the annular space between the inner line circle and the outer pearl border, lending a decorative framing to the central device. The style is consistent with Viennese workshop production of the early 13th century under Duke Leopold VI.

附加信息

Leopold VI ruled Austria and Styria simultaneously from 1194 until his death in 1230, a consolidation that made him the most powerful territorial prince in the German-speaking world of his generation. The Vienna mint operated under his aggressive economic program, which included deliberate currency renewal policies — Brakteaten and thin bracteate-adjacent issues like this pfennig were periodically called in and reissued, forcing subjects to exchange old coins at a discount, effectively taxing liquid wealth. CNA B109 places this squarely within that renewal cycle.
