| Obverse description | Schematized and highly stylized helmeted head rendered in the Celtic abstract tradition, largely degraded into a series of curved and linear elements. A retrograde or partially legible Latin legend, reading SECISV or SELISV, is disposed across the field. The design, typical of late Gaulish potin coinage, shows the characteristic dissolution of the classical prototype into symbolic forms. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with the cast production technique. |
