The design, typical of late Gaulish potin coinage, shows the characteristic dissolution of the classical prototype into symbolic forms. The flan is irregular and slightly uneven, consistent with the cast production technique. |

The composition is typical of Aeduan potin coinage of the late La Tene period, with the imagery derived from Hellenistic prototypes but thoroughly transformed into the local Celtic artistic idiom. The flan edges are irregular, consistent with cast manufacture. |
