| 表面の説明 | Copper cash coin of the traditional Chinese round form pierced by a central square hole, the field displaying four Chinese characters arranged in cruciform fashion around the aperture: 光 (Guāng) above, 緒 (Xù) below, 通 (Tōng) to the right, and 寶 (Bǎo) to the left, together reading 光緒通寶 (Guangxu Tongbao), meaning 'current money of the Guangxu reign'. The characters are rendered in a shallow, somewhat weakly struck relief consistent with a contemporary imitation, with a plain flat field and no rim decoration. |
