The design closely follows the reverse type of the original Koson gold stater, attributed to a Dacian or Thracian ruler of the 1st century BC. The field is plain and the entire design is enclosed within a beaded border. The word COPY appears in an oval cartouche at the base of the field, identifying this piece as a modern replica. |
