A crescent and a pellet or dot appear between the heads of the fish, while a Punic letter alef (𐤀) is placed between their tails. A Punic inscription runs above and below the fish in the field, reading the mint name or civic legend of Gadir. The composition is well-balanced within the flan, consistent with the standard reverse type of Gadiric bronze semis coinage. |
