Beschrijving voorzijde Bearded head of a marine deity facing right, rendered in bold archaic style with pronounced plastic modeling. The deity wears a laurel wreath, depicted with naturalistic foliage extending over the brow. The beard is rendered as a dense mass of globular curls arranged in rows, a hallmark of the Aradian engraving tradition. Hair above the ear is similarly rendered in tight, beaded locks. The strong, prominent facial features — including a well-defined brow ridge, large eye, and aquiline nose — convey a vigorous, idealized divine portrait characteristic of Phoenician silver coinage of the fourth century BC.

Beschrijving keerzijde A war galley (trireme) advancing to the right, rendered with oars visible beneath the hull and a curved prow, set above a stylized wave pattern representing the sea below. Above the galley appears the Phoenician inscription denoting the civic authority of Arados. The entire design is contained within a dotted border forming a square, which is itself set within a recessed incuse square — a distinctive feature of early Phoenician silver coinage. The composition reflects the maritime identity and naval power of the Phoenician city of Arados.
