附加信息

Phaselis occupied an awkward geopolitical position along the Lycian coast — culturally and commercially tied to both the Lycian League and the wider Greek trading world, yet never fully absorbed into either. The city's harbors made it one of the most active transshipment points in the eastern Mediterranean, and its coinage circulated well beyond local boundaries as a result. This stater type belongs to the period following Rome's reorganization of Anatolia after the Peace of Apamea, when regional minting became increasingly assertive as Seleucid authority receded.
