Obverse description Highly stylised and abstracted derivation of the Apollo head type, rendered facing right in the characteristic Late Iron Age British manner. The facial features are reduced to geometric and curvilinear elements, with sinuous lines representing hair locks and a prominent pellet-and-arc motif in place of naturalistic detail. The design fills the irregular flan in a bold, fluid composition typical of the Clacton series, with no inscription or legend present in the field.

Reverse description Disjointed Celtic horse prancing to the right, rendered in the highly abstracted style characteristic of the Clacton coinage. The horse's body is fragmented into discrete geometric and curvilinear elements, including a prominent square-pellet matrix representing the body and a series of curved lines suggesting limbs and tail. A single pellet and a curved line appear in the lower field beneath the horse. The design is anepigraphic throughout, with no charioteer or wheel motif, distinguishing this type within the broader British gold stater series.
