Obverse description Highly stylised, abstract design characteristic of Late Iron Age British Celtic coinage. The central motif consists of a prominent vertical spine or branch element composed of a central stalk with symmetrically arranged horizontal bars terminating in pellets, suggestive of a highly schematised corn-ear or tree motif. A single pellet appears at the base of the design. The surrounding field is plain, consistent with the Dobunnic series. The flan is irregular and slightly convex.
