| Obverse description | Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend arranged in three horizontal registers divided by ruled lines, containing the royal titles and name of Sultan Ibrahim I. The inscriptions are executed in a bold, angular hand characteristic of Ottoman hammered gold coinage. A decorative floral or knotwork ornament appears at the center of the middle register. A circular marginal legend in smaller Arabic script runs within a dotted or beaded border around the perimeter. The flan is irregular with a drilled suspension hole visible at the top. |
