| Obverse description | The obverse displays a dense field of bold Arabic calligraphy executed in the hammered style characteristic of early Ottoman coinage. The Shahada occupies the central zone in two lines, reading 'There is no god but God / Muhammad is the Messenger of God,' framed within a plain inner circle. The AH date 926 appears in the lower portion of the field. The entire legend is enclosed within a beaded border, and the flan shows the characteristic irregular edge and surface texture of a hand-struck gold coin. |

| Reverse description | The reverse bears a four-line Arabic dynastic inscription in bold, confident calligraphy filling the entire field, identifying the issuing sultan and the mint. The legend reads 'Suleyman Shah / son of Selim Shah / may his victory be glorified / struck in Jazair (Algiers).' The text is contained within a beaded inner border, with additional calligraphic elements partially visible in the upper field. The irregular flan and surface relief are consistent with hammered gold production of the early sixteenth-century Ottoman provincial mint. |
