Obverse description Bare head of Heracles (or Alexander depicted as Heracles) facing right, wearing the Nemean lion skin headdress, the scalp covering the crown and rendered with bold, deeply incised wavy lines across the flan. The facial features are schematically rendered in the local artistic tradition, with a prominent almond-shaped eye visible in profile. The design fills the entire field of this irregularly shaped hammered flan, with no visible legend or exergual inscription. The style reflects a provincial or imitative adaptation of the Macedonian royal tetradrachm coinage.
