| Description du revers | Herakles seated left upon an anvil-shaped throne or rock, his nude body depicted in the Hellenistic manner. He holds a club upright in his right hand, resting it on his right knee. The royal Greek legend flanks the figure vertically on either side of the field, with a monogram appearing before the head of Herakles. The regnal date appears in the exergue, providing a chronological anchor consistent with the Seleucid era dating system employed by the Characene kingdom. |
