Obverse description Diademed and draped bust of Artemis facing right, hair rendered in fine parallel striations and bound with a diadem, a quiver visible at the shoulder. The portrait is executed in the Hellenistic style characteristic of Massalian civic coinage, with carefully modelled facial features. The Greek letter Α appears in the lower right field as a control mark. A beaded border encircles the design.

Reverse description Lion standing right in a vigorous, striding posture, rendered with a prominent mane and musculature typical of late Massalian silver coinage. The legend ΜΑΣΣΑ is inscribed in the upper field above the lion's back, with the control letter Π to the right, and ΝΑΘ in the exergue below. A ground line runs beneath the lion's paws, and the whole design is contained within a beaded border.
