| 正面描述 | Hexagonal aluminium token with a raised circular border enclosing the field. The abbreviated company legend 'C.E. RY. CO.' is struck prominently in the center of the field in bold raised capital letters. A beaded inner border ring frames the legend, with decorative dash-and-dot ornaments above and below the central inscription. The manufacturer's attribution 'MOISE - K. CO. S. F.' appears as a peripheral legend along the lower portion of the inner circle, identifying the token's maker as Moise-Klinkner Co. of San Francisco. |

The Central Electric Railway Company operated Sacramento's streetcar network in the early twentieth century before being absorbed into larger transit consolidations that swept California's interurban systems during the 1920s and 1930s. Aluminum tokens of this type were issued as a fare management tool — easier to produce and harder to counterfeit with casual materials than paper transfers, and light enough that conductors could carry quantities without the weight burden of bronze or brass.
