| 背面描述 | A cross pattée or plain cross occupies the central field, framed by a wreath border rendered as a beaded or interlaced circular motif. The design follows the standard late Roman tremissis reverse type, reduced here to its most schematic form, consistent with the degenerate style of Suebic imitative coinage. The overall composition reflects the Visigothic and late imperial prototypes from which Suebic tremisses were derived. |

Audeca seized the Suebi throne in 584 by deposing his father-in-law Malaric, then almost immediately invited Frankish intervention by appealing to Guntram of Burgundy against the encroaching Visigoths. The gambit failed spectacularly. Within a year, the Visigoth king Leovigild had conquered the Suebi kingdom entirely, absorbing it into his realm and ending over a century and a half of Suebi rule in Iberia. Audeca was captured, forced into holy orders, and exiled — rendering his coinage the output of one of history's shorter reigns, compressed into a single chaotic year.
