Nezool remains one of the more obscure Aksumite rulers — no Greek inscription names him on his coinage, only a Ge'ez legend, placing him firmly within the post-Hellenized phase of Aksumite minting when the kingdom had largely abandoned Greek as a prestige language on its currency. That shift itself marks a significant administrative and cultural turn from earlier rulers who maintained bilingual issues. His reign's dates are inferred almost entirely from the coins themselves, cross-referenced against stratigraphic finds at Aksum and comparative die studies.
