Obverse description Square die-struck copper unit with an irregular flan, struck in the punch-marked tradition of ancient central India. The obverse displays a standing elephant in profile facing right, rendered in a bold, archaic style characteristic of early Indian civic coinage. Below the elephant, a row of three concentric-ring symbols (annulets) is arranged horizontally across the field, a motif commonly associated with early Eran municipal issues. Additional punch marks appear in the surrounding field, consistent with the multi-symbol convention of the period.
