| Obverse description | Irregular square flan bearing multiple animal figures in relief, struck in the early South Indian punch-marked tradition. A standing elephant is prominently depicted in the lower field, rendered in a bold, archaic style characteristic of early Satavahana coinage. Additional animal motifs, possibly a bull and a smaller quadruped, are arranged across the upper register of the flan. The figures occupy the field without a defined border, consistent with hammered civic issues of the Kotalingala region. The overall composition reflects the iconographic conventions of 1st century BC Deccan coinage. |
