| Obverse description | A large six-pointed Star of David occupies the central field, formed by two interlocking equilateral triangles. At the centre of the star, within a small circular frame, the date 1927 is incused. The surrounding legend, arranged in two arched bands separated by small ornamental stops, reads ROYAL MINT above and TRIAL DIE below, entirely in raised Latin lettering. The design is plain and geometric, consistent with a die trial piece intended to test the planchet or press rather than display a finalised coin type. |

| Reverse description | A seated classical figure of Britannia is depicted in left profile, draped in flowing robes and wearing a radiate crown or halo-like nimbus. She is shown seated beside a short column or pedestal upon which rests a small object, possibly a helmet or shield. The figure is rendered in a neoclassical engraving style consistent with Royal Mint die trials of the early twentieth century. The legend BRITANNIA MONETA is inscribed in raised Latin lettering, arching through the surrounding field. |
