Reverse description The reverse field is filled with a multi-line Ottoman Arabic inscription arranged in horizontal registers, rendered in bold hammered relief. The legend reads 'سلطان البرين و خاقان البحرين السلطان ابن السلطان' (Sultan of the two lands, Khaqan of the two seas, the Sultan son of the Sultan), a standard Ottoman imperial titulature formula. The text is inscribed in a confident, cursive Arabic script that fills the available field, with the letters exhibiting the characteristic angular and flowing strokes of Ottoman chancery hand. The initials or abbreviated signature known as 'Rayhani' appear as part of the calligraphic arrangement. A beaded border frames the design at the periphery.
