| Opmerkingen |
The 0 Euro souvenir note program, administered through EuroSouvenir and distributed via tourist sites across Europe, has no monetary value and is not legal tender anywhere — it exists purely as a licensed collectible. Oberthur Fiduciaire prints these to the same security specifications as genuine currency, including proper intaglio elements and watermarks, which is part of the appeal. The European Central Bank permits their production under strict design controls, provided the zero denomination is clearly stated.
Lomnický štít, at 2,634 metres the highest accessible peak in the Slovak Carpathians, has housed a meteorological station since 1957. The funicular railway reaching it remains one of the steepest rack-and-pinion systems in Central Europe.
