The FAB (Força Aérea Brasileira) zero-denomination "note" is not currency in any legal sense — it is a non-negotiable token issued internally by the Brazilian Air Force, used within the closed economy of military canteens and base exchanges. Zero-denomination scrip of this type circulated purely as a control mechanism, tracking credit rather than representing stored value.
No Banco Central do Brasil involvement. Collecting interest in Brazilian military scrip remains thin outside specialist circles, which keeps examples undervalued relative to their genuine scarcity.
