Opmerkingen

Kas Negara Djambi emergency issues of 1947 belong to a chaotic period of Indonesian revolutionary finance, when the newly proclaimed Republic struggled to maintain any coherent monetary system against Dutch military pressure. Djambi — the South Sumatran residency — printed its own fractional notes locally because supply lines to the Republican treasury in Java were effectively severed during the first Dutch "Police Action" launched that July.

The S-prefix in the Pick reference signals a regional or provisional issue rather than a central government note. Locally produced paper and rudimentary printing equipment mean quality and ink consistency vary considerably across surviving examples — this is a known characteristic of the series, not individual wear.
