A large arched central vignette presents a detailed landscape view of the Landgräfliches Jagdschloss — the former hunting lodge of the Landgraves, later the warehouse of the Electoral Hessian Trading Company and at the time of issue serving as the Rathaus of Carlshafen — set against a wooded hillside reflected in calm water. Denomination roundels inscribed '1.50 M' appear in the upper corners, flanking the town name 'Stadt Carlshafen' arched across the top. The printer's imprint 'Gebrüder Gotthelft, Cassel' appears at the lower left margin outside the border. |
