Kuwait's 7th series, to which this note belongs, was introduced in 2014 following a design overhaul driven largely by counterfeiting concerns — the previous 6th series had circulated since 1994 and its security profile was considered outdated. Thomas De La Rue's involvement with Kuwaiti currency printing stretches back decades, and the relationship has been unusually consistent by regional standards.
Pick 31 is the lowest denomination in the series, which partly explains why it turns up in heavily circulated condition more often than any other value in the set.
