The bank title FARMERS JOINT STOCK BANK runs in bold letterpress across the middle register, with the denomination ONE DOLLAR in red overprint below; the place and date of issue, Toronto, Feb. 1, 1849, appear in the lower centre beneath manuscript signatures of the Manager and Cashier. |
