| 背面描述 | Dark blue-green intaglio design centred on a large lozenge-shaped guilloche panel bearing the denomination UM ESCUDO above MOEDA CORRENTE, surrounded by intricate lathe-work. Flanking the central panel are two circular medallions at left and right, each inscribed 1 ESC., set against a background of stylised tropical foliage and an architectural vignette across the upper register. The printer's imprint BRADBURY WILKINSON & Cº LTº GRAVADORES LONDRES runs along the lower margin. |

| 备注 |
Banco da Beira was a private colonial bank operating in Beira, Mozambique, then under Portuguese administration. Its authority to issue notes was limited in scope and geography, making this 1919 series a genuinely regional instrument — not a metropolitan Portuguese issue dressed up for the colonies, but a locally chartered bank exercising its own concession.
Bradbury Wilkinson printed the series in London, as they did for dozens of colonial and quasi-governmental issuers across the British and Portuguese spheres during this period. The R11A designation distinguishes this from related variants in the same issue, likely by signature combination or minor typographic detail.
