| 正面铭文 | בנק ישראל לירה ישראלית אחת |
| 背面描述 | The reverse presents an abstract geometric design as its central motif, executed with fine line-work and guilloche patterning. The issuing authority and denomination inscriptions appear in both Arabic and English, reading 'Bank of Israel' and 'One Israeli Pound' respectively. The overall composition balances the abstract vignette with structured border elements typical of mid-twentieth century banknote design. |

| 备注 |
The Bank of Israel was established in December 1954, and this 1955 series was among its first independent emissions — replacing the notes previously issued under the Anglo-Palestine Bank. De La Rue handled the printing, as they did for a considerable number of newly independent states during the 1950s seeking internationally credible currency production.
The watermark security was modest by the standards of the period, reflecting budget constraints on a young central bank building its monetary infrastructure from scratch. Pick 25 is the lowest denomination in the inaugural series.
