| Obverse description | Printed in dark blue ink on a light green-grey paper, the obverse is dominated by a central vignette of the Montenegrin royal coat of arms — a double-headed eagle surmounted by a crown beneath a canopied mantle with radiating rays — flanked on either side by large numeral '1' denominators set within intricate guilloche panels. The upper portion carries a Cyrillic bearer clause and denomination panel, while the lower section bears the place and date of issue, Cetinje, 1 October 1912, along with two manuscript signatures above their respective titles. The entire design is enclosed within an elaborate ornamental border of interlocking floral and geometric motifs with cross medallions at the corners. |
