| Description du revers | The reverse features a right-facing portrait bust of Lempira, the legendary Lenca chieftain and national hero of Honduras, wearing a beaded headband. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail on the facial features and headdress. The denomination legend DIEZ LEMPIRAS is inscribed in bold letters arcing around the periphery of the field, with DIEZ to the left and LEMPIRAS to the upper right of the portrait. The overall style is consistent with a matte proof pattern striking of high artistic quality. |
