| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse displays the national coat of arms of Honduras centrally positioned within the field, depicting a triangular landscape with mountains, trees, and a rainbow above, flanked by a quiver of arrows and mining tools below. The shield is encircled by an oval cartouche bearing the full national motto. The date 1995 appears at the top of the field, divided on either side of the coat of arms. | Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a right-facing portrait bust of Lempira, the legendary Lenca chieftain and national hero of Honduras, wearing a beaded headband. The effigy is rendered in high relief with fine detail on the facial features and headdress. The denomination legend DIEZ LEMPIRAS is inscribed in bold letters arcing around the periphery of the field, with DIEZ to the left and LEMPIRAS to the upper right of the portrait. The overall style is consistent with a matte proof pattern striking of high artistic quality. |
