A circular portrait vignette of King Farouk of Egypt is set at upper centre within an ornate arabesque border. Two denomination roundels inscribed '١٠ جنيه مصرية' flank the central text panel, with crescent and star devices at mid-left and mid-right. Two signature lines appear at lower centre. |

The "Higher Nile Valley Authority for the Rescue of Palestine" was not a recognized government or central bank — it was one of several pan-Arab fundraising bodies that issued bond-style instruments in 1948 to finance Palestinian Arab military and relief efforts during the war that followed partition. These were essentially solidarity instruments, circulated among sympathetic populations in Egypt and Sudan rather than functioning as negotiable currency in any formal sense.
