The "Higher Nile Valley Authority for the Rescue of Palestine" was not a recognized government or central bank — it was one of several pan-Arab fundraising bodies that issued bond-style instruments in 1948 to finance Palestinian Arab military and relief efforts during the war that followed partition. These were essentially solidarity instruments, circulated among sympathetic populations in Egypt and Sudan rather than functioning as negotiable currency in any formal sense.
Provenance matters here more than condition. Documentation tying a surviving example to a specific issuing committee or collection point is rare and adds considerably to research value.
